Mahaweli Consultancy Bureau (Private) Limited was incorporated on the 18th of June 1998 under the Mahaweli Authority Act of Sri Lanka, Act No.23 of 1979 with the objective of providing Engineering and Consultancy Services. Currently, it is operated under the guidance of the Ministry of Irrigation. The Organization is led under the expert supervision of its’ Chairman, the Secretary to the Ministry of Irrigation Mr. U.D.C. Jayalal and under the instructions of its’ CEO Eng (Mr.) Chandana Edirisooriya. The company is strengthened by a workforce of well experience and qualified employees with foresight and determination to achieve the company’s desired goals as well as the courage to change course at key points along the way, facilitating the company to stay afloat and remain competitive and continue to lead the industry. Having been in operation for well over two and a half decades, our company has not only weathered the changes in the industry, but also have thrived and grown immaculately; and we take pride of its’ substantial growth over the years and of many more to come. We have contracted with both government and non-governmental institutions as well as foreign institutions and provided engineering and consultancy services for numerous large scale projects that have seen the light of day.
